A surprising gem...

On a Ciociara hill, surrounded by greenery, but very close to the city, is La Torretta, a stone’s throw from the splendid and ancient pre-Roman village of Ferentino.

The stone farmhouse stands in a panoramic position, among a fragrant lime tree, wisteria, cypresses, and oaks, not far from the ancient lands of the Popes and the Ciociaria countryside.

A skilful restoration has brought the ancient manor house back to its original beauty, transforming it into an elegant and comfortable place of relaxation, ideal for recovering energy and serenity, but also for celebrating one’s anniversaries, traveling along sports, artistic and food and wine itineraries.

In the living room and in the kitchen comes the warmth of the large fireplace, suggestions of the past, soft lights and on the windows, landscapes portrayed by local artists.

The passion for art can be seen in every corner of this beautiful farmhouse.

The romantic rooms, suites and apartments, elegant and comfortable, with original beds and elegant upholstery, express attention to detail and attention to the well-being of guests. From the farm you can easily reach: Ferentino and its sulphurous waters, Anagni, the city of the Popes; Frosinone, Alatri and its Cyclopean walls; Fumone, Fiuggi and its ancient thermal baths; Sora, Isola del Liri, with its waterfall that crosses the city, unique in the world, Colleferro, Valmontone and the neighboring Roman province.

History, Culture, Ospitality

Our Tower was built at the end of XIIth century (1183). At the beginning of the summer Emperor Federico Barbarossa signed the Peace of Constance with the Lombard League: if the Municipalities in the Northern Italy were autonomy, Southern was dominated by feudal system by its meshes of control, defense of territories and competition between feudal lords and clerics.

In the State of the Church, in the Rectorate of Campagna and Marittima, as its seat, there is Ferentino signated by local tensions: from the end of the 12th to the 13th century the popes often dealt with it, especially on the occasion of disputes and conflicts with the neighboring communities. An articulated circuit of 11/12 towers, infact, supervised the control and sighting of enemies; In this context the construction of our Torretta, property of the Counts De Andreis (“Case Andresi”), is placed. Later sold to the family members of the current owners, it was restored in the early Nineties of the twentieth century, respecting the original features and spaces and becoming a real welcoming structure, rich in history and charm.
